The Stats Are In!

Here is our Big Boy. Just a few updates.
-His one year check-up at 13 months. Wt 20lbs 8.5oz - Ht 31 1/2 inches - Head 18 1-4
This puts him below 25% for his weight, above 90% for height, and right at 75% for his head.
-He loves pushing his John Deer tractor around that my boss brought us at the hospital when Paul was born. So you would think the kid could walk----The answer is still no. He uses the tractor to get where he wants.
-The word of choice is Mama. I am loving it. He even calls Nathan Mama. He said Dada for only a short period of time. The next word is tractor. Not real clear but we know what he is saying. The teachers in his Sunday class get a kick out of him saying tractor.
-Paul tries to copy everything that Audriann does. This is funny to me but she is not so amused.
-He is all boy. Getting into every cabinet that is not safety proofed, climes on what ever he can get his legs up to. His favorite is Audriann's bed.
-Pushing cars and tractors making the brumm sound.
-When Nathan gets home Paul has a small melt down until Dada picks him up and then gives him a huge hug. Like he is saying where have you been for 2 days I have missed you. Paul loves giving out the hugs.
-He has a few bad habits. Hitting in the face. I do not understand where they get this stuff. Telling him "NO" so far does not work. He thinks it's funny and just laughs. So instead we warn him then put him down. Tantrums are next. When he does not get his way he throws himself on the floor screams and rolls around. I have never had a child do this before. CRAZY.
-Tons of teeth. He has 10 teeth and 2 more almost completely through the gums. This is nice because he can eat just about anything he wants. Oh and this brings us to his eating.
-My dear son spits out almost every veggie I put on his tray. Green beans is the veggie he likes. Wonder where he gets that, since this is the only green vegetable Nathan will touch. He will not let me feed anymore. Tries to use a spoon or fork to feed himself and can do it with a little help. This has made feeding him a little more challenging. Audrainn was very laid back about eating. Paul is very independent. Way to soon for this Mama.
-Off the bottle and on to whole milk. He does not care for milk so much. So he has to get calcium through cheese and yogurt. He has gotten a bit better with milk but he likes it room temperature not cold.
-The last thing is the TV. He turns it off all the time. I really believe he does it just to irritate Audrainn. He tuns it off then looks around for her to make sure she is watching him. Audrainn is not to impressed with Paul. I'm thinking she would be fine if he just went away. LOL.
Daddy's little cowboy. That is Nathan's hat.
Look real close you can even see a scratch on his nose. A real cowboy. We won't tell anyone he did it to himself because his nails were to long.
Hope you enjoy!

Prom Night

Elizabeth had her BIG prom night. It was Friday the 11th. After the dress, hair, makeup, we opted out of getting the nails done, I am exhausted by the whole thing and glad it is over. Sorry, that was very negative. She had a good time and told me she danced quite a bit. I really wanted proof of that, but no such luck. She did not take one picture during the prom. So all we have to show are the before pictures.
Here is the date. His name is Jordan Brown. They have been dating for a little over a year now. Elizabeth's dress had a train on it, so we had one of her teachers put clips on the sides to pull it up. I have a few with the train down. Will have to upload later. I'm still old school with a 35mm camera.
It was very windy so Liz is cold.
At our house before we left. My little girl is growing up. This was a very sad night for me. I just can't believe that next school year my baby Lizzer will be a Senior. She is so beautiful. (okay I'm a mom) Hope you enjoy! Will be updating on Paul sometime soon! Have his stats.

We Survived

Over the last week Ar has been through a lot of serious weather. Enola only had one tornado warning. Little Rock, North Little Rock, and the small towns around the area not so lucky. The small airport in NLR suffered quite a bit of damage. The surrounding areas had, at last count, I think around 4 touch down. God and Mother Nature at their best work.

Nathan was not at work in the Fire Station during the first set storms. I was thankful for that, no worrying. The next set that went through about a week later not so lucky. He was at work but the storms went to the south of us.

I can't even describe the lighting and thunder that happens during the straight line storms. That is what the weather men call them. It is just AWESOME to watch. Okay, just as long as it does not get to close. The thunder sometimes will rumble the whole house. I don't recall ever having storms like this back home.

I did not get pictures to turn out from the storms. Maybe next time. Flooding continues to be a huge problem in AR, so just keep the state in your prayers. Many have lost homes.

On a lighter note......

Prom was last night. I will post our beautiful daughter soon. Oh and her date too.
