A New Feline

This is a picture of Pumpkin. Late winter last year she showed up around the house. She was a very gentle and sweet cat. Audriann really loved her. She had an accident about 2 weeks ago. Her love for climbing got her killed. One of her favorite places to be was on top of the opened garage door. On our way to church we closed the door and the cat got caught between the door and the wall. She died the next day.
Audriann was heart broken. She helped to bury Pumpkin, at her request, and then that night Audriann was in tears til she fell asleep. Sooooo.......The next day hero daddy brought home the newest family member. Yep, Nathan went to the local cat clinic and Paco (he came with the name) joined the Wolfe family.

This is the day Nathan brought home Paco. Audriann and Paul just love him. He really is the sweetest cat ever. The kids pick him up, roll on him, and do just about anything you can think of and the cat just takes it. He has never once scratched any of us. Paco's only down fall is he was an inside cat at the clinic and likes to use a litter box. His box is outside since he is an outside cat. So hopefully in the future we can ween him from the box to the outside world for his business.

Hello to everyone that visits the blog this is our Paco.
According to Audriann "He is our very special cat and we have to take really good care of him so he does not get hurt like Pumpkin and die." Broke my heart when she told me this. So Lord please look over the cat we can not handle another kitty cat heartache. AMEN!!

Senior Portraits

The task is over. Elizabeth and I embarked on the adventure of senior pictures.
I haven't decided if they are senior or high fashion model portraits. LOL Here is the link www.tracyeharnedphotography.com then click on gallery, then recent sessions. Please take a look and let us know what your thoughts are. She has grown to be so beautiful. Tracye called her very photogenic.
It was quite amusing to watch Liz attempting to do what the photographer asked of her. Laughing was the best medicine. It seems to be better than the alternative which would have involved tears. Get the tissues ready for next year.

Tracye did a wonderful job and worked extremely hard. So that task is done the next is to get the diploma on May 15, 2009. Crazy my little girl about to be in the real world. Well, hopefully college will be next. Last I heard she wants to do something in the dental field. Maybe a dental hygienist. A mother can only continue to pray for her!!! Any added prayers for Liz?? She could use all the help she can get.
Thanks for looking. Have a great start of the week.

A New Paul!

Let's start from the beginning.----- Nathan thought Paul needed a haircut. We come up with the brainy idea to cut his hair while he was sleeping. Not so brainy. The hair keep tickling him and waking him up. It was awful looking. Can I add that I do not know how to cut hair!!!
The kids and I were out today for Paul's therapy appointment and Liz's hair appointment so at the last minute the decision was made. Paul's hair needed to be fixed. Even though I did not have a camera to capture the moment.....It had to be done.
So here we are with a before shot of the hair that had taken over his ears. And here is the after shot. What a big boy he is. It still has a few issues because the lollipop only kept him busy for so long but anything is better than it was.

What a fun day.

The kids and I went to a small water park last Tuesday. We had a blast. The park is pretty small but to small kids it seems huge. The kiddie pool was the hit of the day. Personally I enjoyed the lazy river. The wave pool was a bit to much for the smaller kids. There were a few tube rides, but you had to be a certain height to ride them so Elizabeth went with her friends and rode then she watched Paul and Audriann for me while I went and rode with Heather, Brendan, and James. I felt like a kid again it was fun. Here is Audriann and Caleb. they played most of the day together.
The kiddie pool had a small pump that would push water up like a fountain. Paul's favorite right after the small slide.
Elizabeth, Jordan, and Paul getting ready to float the lazy river. Audriann went with Liz's friend PJ.
Chris and Daniel taking a break under the tree for a snack.
I guess this sums up the whole day. This picture was taken before we even made it to the interstate. Hope a few of you out there still check out the blog. Sending love your way from AR.

It's Official.....

Paul is WALKING. Hallelujah. He started walking some on the 4th of July. Then Tuesday he was walking around somemore by today, YES he is walking everywhere. Paul is still tipping the right foot way out so I will have to keep a close eye on that.
Outside in the back yard with the kitten.
Audriann yelling at me not to take her picture. She is so much like Nathan.
What a sweet picture of all my babies.. Love them.
Audriann wants to be a ballerina. Okay I don't think her daddy wanted to dance.LOL
Have a great weekend. The Wolfe Family.

The Tractor is Back!

Paul Bowen Wolfe is 15 months old!! Paul is sitting on Nathan's John Deere tractor that Nathan played with as a boy. Paul looks so cute sitting on the tractor trying to ride it around the house. I just felt so bad for him. He was really missing the push tractor. Well since there is no walking yet........... the tractor is back. Boy has he had tons of fun.

The doctor appointment went okay. The Dr. does not believe that his ear problems have anything to do with not walking. Although he does have fluid on his ears. We have to go back at the end of this month and if the fluid is not gone a trip to the ENT. Finally this is what I have wanted. As for his walking. I am in the process of getting paper work done so he can start physical therapy. Paul has walked a few times, but something is still not right. The doctor told me he does what they call tipping. Doctor's thinking is that his foot was not in the correct position during pregnancy. So this may be causing the walking problems. I hope we can get him the help he needs soon. Anyway----
He weighed 21lbs 6.5oz Height 33 inches Just a tall skinny boy is what the doc calls him.

Here is a picture Princess Audrainn on her slide with Paul in the background.

Happy 4th of July!

The weekend was full of fireworks. We had my sister Heather and her family over for hamburgers and hot dog along with Sonny and Ann. We all pitched in an bought a few fireworks we set off the 4th. Paul really enjoyed the sparklers. He wanted to touch the light. Hot has not quite sunk in to become part of his vocabulary. Hope he does not have to learn the hard way.
Princess Audriann was all about her daddy. I was not permitted to help her out with the sparklers. Only daddy could do right that night. A real daddy's little girl. One day she will need me until then Nathan's shadow.

It is hard to see but Ann and Sonny are sitting on their new farm addition. The Gator. This is a great worker for Sonny. He really needed something to get around the farm. Walking is good but you know he's not getting any younger! HAHA. He will love me for that.

Ann wants to use it to come over to the house on Stampin' Up! nights. Sounds good to me.

We finished out the weekend with the annual picnic at the park in Enola. They always have a large fish catfish fry. Man was it tasty. Followed up by some great fireworks. The camera did not seem to make it out of the bag. I will do better next year.

So Happy 4th to all of you. Hope all had a great fun. Go America!

A little of everything!

Elizabeth, Audrainn, Paul, and myself went bowling for my nephew's birthday party. Audrainn found the arcade more exciting than the bowling and would not let me take a picture of her. Paul loved the bowling. We would help him roll the ball down the alley and he would yell GO!GO!GO! We had a lot of fun. And just on a side note, I out bowled my sister!!! YES!

Here is our little princess. This is just about the only way I can talk her into a picture. Snow White does it every time. She loves anything that is Disney princess related. Here is the little man. You ask "Is he walking yet?" The same ole answer NO. Nathan and I work with him a lot. He has taken a few steps but only because we tricked him into thinking we still had a hold of him. Well Paul caught on to us quick. So I'm not what is going on.
-Nathan says he is spoiled I hold him to much. Okay so I admit maybe this is somewhat true but he is my baby.
-I say that it has something to do with his ears and the fact at 15months old Paul is already on allergy medicine. My feelings still stand firm, that his equilibrium is off due to the ear problems and this is messing up his balance.
-Whatever the theory the doctor will let us know his thoughts on Thursday this week.
At the last visit to the Dr.'s office, for yet another ear infection, he said something about physical therapy. He did tell us to take away Paul's push tractor. :0( Poor Paul, he is very sad about this decision. Guess what, the tractor has been gone for a month, still no walking. STUBBORN BOY!
Any thoughts out there??? Does anyone else have a helpful suggestion?

Here are the little angels. Hope everyone has a great week. I will let you know about Paul soon.

The Roof is On!

Sorry is has been so long with an update. Things here on the farm moving at a fast pace. I have started watching a couple of little girls. Four kids all at once the house gets a little crazy. Nathan, Sonny and a firefighter named Rick got the roof on a couple of weeks ago. Yea, things are really moving along. The next step is the shingles. We are hoping to take of that in the next few weeks. This means redoing the old garage is coming soon. The best part in opinion. Paul out of our bedroom. Goodie Goodie gum drops!!! The other guy in the orange shirt is Liz's boyfriend Jordan
Nathan and Sonny trying to figure out how to put up the brace beam.

The Stats Are In!

Here is our Big Boy. Just a few updates.
-His one year check-up at 13 months. Wt 20lbs 8.5oz - Ht 31 1/2 inches - Head 18 1-4
This puts him below 25% for his weight, above 90% for height, and right at 75% for his head.
-He loves pushing his John Deer tractor around that my boss brought us at the hospital when Paul was born. So you would think the kid could walk----The answer is still no. He uses the tractor to get where he wants.
-The word of choice is Mama. I am loving it. He even calls Nathan Mama. He said Dada for only a short period of time. The next word is tractor. Not real clear but we know what he is saying. The teachers in his Sunday class get a kick out of him saying tractor.
-Paul tries to copy everything that Audriann does. This is funny to me but she is not so amused.
-He is all boy. Getting into every cabinet that is not safety proofed, climes on what ever he can get his legs up to. His favorite is Audriann's bed.
-Pushing cars and tractors making the brumm sound.
-When Nathan gets home Paul has a small melt down until Dada picks him up and then gives him a huge hug. Like he is saying where have you been for 2 days I have missed you. Paul loves giving out the hugs.
-He has a few bad habits. Hitting in the face. I do not understand where they get this stuff. Telling him "NO" so far does not work. He thinks it's funny and just laughs. So instead we warn him then put him down. Tantrums are next. When he does not get his way he throws himself on the floor screams and rolls around. I have never had a child do this before. CRAZY.
-Tons of teeth. He has 10 teeth and 2 more almost completely through the gums. This is nice because he can eat just about anything he wants. Oh and this brings us to his eating.
-My dear son spits out almost every veggie I put on his tray. Green beans is the veggie he likes. Wonder where he gets that, since this is the only green vegetable Nathan will touch. He will not let me feed anymore. Tries to use a spoon or fork to feed himself and can do it with a little help. This has made feeding him a little more challenging. Audrainn was very laid back about eating. Paul is very independent. Way to soon for this Mama.
-Off the bottle and on to whole milk. He does not care for milk so much. So he has to get calcium through cheese and yogurt. He has gotten a bit better with milk but he likes it room temperature not cold.
-The last thing is the TV. He turns it off all the time. I really believe he does it just to irritate Audrainn. He tuns it off then looks around for her to make sure she is watching him. Audrainn is not to impressed with Paul. I'm thinking she would be fine if he just went away. LOL.
Daddy's little cowboy. That is Nathan's hat.
Look real close you can even see a scratch on his nose. A real cowboy. We won't tell anyone he did it to himself because his nails were to long.
Hope you enjoy!

Prom Night

Elizabeth had her BIG prom night. It was Friday the 11th. After the dress, hair, makeup, we opted out of getting the nails done, I am exhausted by the whole thing and glad it is over. Sorry, that was very negative. She had a good time and told me she danced quite a bit. I really wanted proof of that, but no such luck. She did not take one picture during the prom. So all we have to show are the before pictures.
Here is the date. His name is Jordan Brown. They have been dating for a little over a year now. Elizabeth's dress had a train on it, so we had one of her teachers put clips on the sides to pull it up. I have a few with the train down. Will have to upload later. I'm still old school with a 35mm camera.
It was very windy so Liz is cold.
At our house before we left. My little girl is growing up. This was a very sad night for me. I just can't believe that next school year my baby Lizzer will be a Senior. She is so beautiful. (okay I'm a mom) Hope you enjoy! Will be updating on Paul sometime soon! Have his stats.

We Survived

Over the last week Ar has been through a lot of serious weather. Enola only had one tornado warning. Little Rock, North Little Rock, and the small towns around the area not so lucky. The small airport in NLR suffered quite a bit of damage. The surrounding areas had, at last count, I think around 4 touch down. God and Mother Nature at their best work.

Nathan was not at work in the Fire Station during the first set storms. I was thankful for that, no worrying. The next set that went through about a week later not so lucky. He was at work but the storms went to the south of us.

I can't even describe the lighting and thunder that happens during the straight line storms. That is what the weather men call them. It is just AWESOME to watch. Okay, just as long as it does not get to close. The thunder sometimes will rumble the whole house. I don't recall ever having storms like this back home.

I did not get pictures to turn out from the storms. Maybe next time. Flooding continues to be a huge problem in AR, so just keep the state in your prayers. Many have lost homes.

On a lighter note......

Prom was last night. I will post our beautiful daughter soon. Oh and her date too.

What Field!

The Lord promised to never flood the earth. WHAT about ENOLA. :0)! This is our back field with the pond. Turkey creek runs between two of our fields. But not on this day. The creek is out of the banks and running over the field, then running back into it after the 90 degree turn that the creek makes on out land. Crazy. Really this is hard to explain just think under water. Simple as that. It has just rained way to much in AR. And the weather man is calling for more rain over the next few days. Hope not.
Audriann and I are standing in the middle of what use to be part of the field now over taken with water. The tree line in the background is the pond.
Elizabeth with Turkey Creek in the background. It is way over the banks.
And just one last picture. It is nuts here. Check out how far the tree is under water. I am just glad we do not leave near the rivers. Most houses around the river are flooded out. That was last week and with all the rain coming this week it is going to be bad. Things will get better!!! The house is fine and so is Sonny and Ann's.

Just a few!

So I just had to post a few more pictures!

Paul's shirt reads I'm the little brother.
It is hard to see but Audriann's reads I'm the big sister. Tried to get the shirts to both show in the picture but Audriann hates to get her picture taken. This was a beg, borrow, and plea photo with a little bribing going on. Yet one more thing from the Wolfe family!!! Paul is still a ham. Hope that does not change
.

Turning the big 1 !

Paul on his first birthday. Something I am still getting use to. The Wolfe family are not big birthday people. Crazy I think. So Paul only had us, MeMe, and Grandpa after church on Wednesday. He had fallen asleep on the way home and Nathan had to wake him up. The highlight of the party (not really) to Paul was the new toys. Don't worry Paul next year's party will be different. He got a really cute homemade card Uncle James, Aunt Stephanie, and Sam. Thanks, He loved it and so did I.
He got a stuffed animal and truck from MeMe and Grandpa. New clothes from Aunt Heather , Uncle Chris, and the boys. And from us new clothes and a cool tool box that sings and lights up. This is all the cake and ice cream Paul got. DaDa did not want him to have the whole cake. We always did the small cake for the first birthday and just let the baby have at it. Not in the Wolfe house. Doesn't Paul look sad? He missed out. The 1 year stats will have to come later. The office was overbooked and I could not get an appointment till the end of April. Liz and I guessed on his weight and height. Weight about 21lbs and 31 inches long. AND STILL NOT WALKING.

March has just been crazy. Still working on the addition, then all the rain, Audriann went to the dentist for the first time. BAD report. She has 2 cavities. They have to be filled and capped. This is a Wolfe family trait Sonny tells Nathan. Great, Audriann screamed bloody murder in the office while they cleaned her teeth. At the next appointment she must be drugged. I am very nervous and not looking forward to taking her back on March 31st to get all the work done. Oh yea one more thing the cavities are on opposite side of the mouth so we have to do it twice. DNA what a blessing!!!

I will update soon with really cute Easter pictures from the Easter Lily fields.
